today at the store, when we made up yet another inside joke, and i crouched down to laugh, i wanted to fall asleep for a minute, so i could remember that in a dream.
makes no sense, my brain.
all i know is that you are one of my best friends now, and we’re better off together as a team.
sometimes i come across pictures of people who are clearly in pain. it’s not fully visible; they may be smiling or laughing.
look closer.
you can see the pain in the eyes. the clenched jaw. the teeth the mouth forced into the shape you think everybody wants to see. the status quo. i’m fine i’m fine they seem to be saying through clenched teeth. but you can see it, that one...
